Home is where the military sends us. For Maricel and her family, these words have never rung truer. As the wife of an active-duty U.S. Air Force member, she has experienced the unique challenges and adventures of military life firsthand. Over the past 18 years, she and her family have relocated 13 times, including five overseas moves. Their journey has taken them through the vibrant landscapes of Florida, Texas, Arkansas, Japan, California, and Hawaii, before finally settling in Nevada, a place they now proudly call home. A Southern Californian, Maricel earned her degree in Economics from the University of California, Irvine. Before joining The Collection, she built a strong background in marketing and communications across diverse industries, including vacation rentals, insurance and financial services, healthcare, and nonprofit organizations. During her time in Arkansas, she served as the inaugural Director of Marketing and Communications for a statewide nonprofit dedicated to transforming lives through education, training, and employment. Her extensive personal experience with frequent relocations and home searches gives her a deep understanding of her clients’ unique challenges and needs. She holds the Military Relocation Professional (MRP) certification, equipping her with specialized knowledge to assist military families and veterans in finding housing solutions that best suit their needs. Additionally, she has earned the Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®) designation, further demonstrating her expertise in guiding homebuyers through every step of the process.
