Born and raised in Japan and attended Sophia University in Tokyo. Transferred to Seattle University in 1969 and obtained under and post graduate degrees. Recruited by the international firm of Ernst & Ernst after completing his education and joined its audit department. Started his own CPA firm in 1980 under the name of Kasama & Company and assisted Japanese businesses acquiring business and investment properties in the U.S. Sold the practice in 2001 and moved to Las Vegas in 2002. Commenced a real estate brokerage business with his wife, Heidi, in 2004 and subsequently merged with Prudential Americana Group, which has changed its business name to Berkshire Hathaway Home Services, effective April 29, 2014.
